If you know you want to track calls using marketing numbers but are not sure how you would like to do so, please follow the instructions in this guide.
We recommend you start by tracking your website and Google My Business listing.
To track the website calls, follow this guide to create a dynamic website pool number:
Once this is done, the pool number will swap out the main number on your website with a Patient Prism pool number, allowing Patient Prism to record/analyze the website calls.
To track the Google My Business (GMB) listing calls, follow this guide to create a static number to then post on the listing.
To post on the listing, please follow the steps below:
- Log into the locations Google My Business account
- Click on Info located on the left menu
- Click on the pencil icon next to the phone number
- Click Add Phone Number
- Move the main office phone number that is currently in the primary phone spot to the Additional phone spot
- Place the tracking number you created in the primary phone number spot.
- Click Apply
Once this has finished processing, the Patient Prism tracking number will show on the Google My Business listing.
So far, this means that anybody who calls you from your website or GMB listing will have the call and source tracked.

If you are also running Google Ads, we recommend the following steps in addition to the above.
Create another dynamic website pool number, except this time, set the Insertion Option to Google Ads.
This will make it so that if someone reaches the website via an ad, it will show them a number in the ad pool, and if they reach the site from a non-Google Ad source, they will see the original pool number with its insertion option set to the default All.
Our final number recommendation is a Google Ad Extension number.
This will be another static number that you can create that can be used as the extension number in your Google Ads.
Now that all of those numbers are created and are in use, we recommend following our Google Ads Integration Guide to integrate Patient Prism and your Google Ads account.
Your numbers in Patient Prism should look similar to this:
