Dynamic pool numbers let Patient Prism swap the phone number displayed on your website with a unique tracking number for each visitor. When someone calls one of these numbers, Patient Prism analyzes the call and connects it back to that visitor's session.
Setup has two parts: installing the code snippet on your website, and creating the dynamic pool number in Patient Prism.
Part 1: Install the Code Snippet
- Go to the Integrations page.
- Click the Code Snippet button and select the company you want the dynamic code and numbers associated with.
- Copy the code snippet shown on the right side of the page.
- Paste the snippet between the
<head>and</head>tags of the website where you want the dynamic number to appear.
Part 2: Create the Dynamic Pool Number
- Go to the Phone Numbers page.
- Click the Create button in the top right of the page.
- Select Dynamic Pool Number, then choose the company and location the number should be associated with.
- Choose the area code you want the dynamic numbers to display.
- Set the pool size. The pool size determines how many "child numbers" are available in the pool — the default is 10, and it can be increased or decreased. A larger pool means more unique numbers can be shown to visitors at once, so each visitor is more likely to see a number personalized to their visit.
- Enter a name for the number, then select a call plan to assign.

Enter the swap number. This is the number on your website that you want replaced with dynamic numbers — typically your main office number. The code snippet scans the page for this number and swaps it with a Patient Prism pool number.
How It Works
Once the code snippet is installed and the dynamic pool number has been created, the snippet automatically finds the swap number on your site and replaces it with a number from the pool. Every call to a pool number is analyzed by the Patient Prism system.
Tip: You can control when the tracking number is swapped in for the target number using the Insertion Options settings.

Number swapping only occurs when the visitor's IP address is located in one of the following countries:
- United States
- Canada
- Mexico
- Ireland
- United Kingdom
- Australia
- New Zealand
