When making tracking numbers, you have two options: Static or Dynamic.
These numbers will always appear the same. They will always be the same 10-digit number and transfer to the specified call plan.
It must be added to a website using a code snippet.
Once placed, each webpage viewer will see a different number. This allows the system to track their movement throughout the webpage.
It also allows other reports to generate data to show how they reached the webpage.
The decision on whether to use a dynamic number over a static number on a webpage comes down to how much data you want to be available to you.
If you care more about all the viewers seeing the same number, create a static number.
Create a dynamic number if you are interested in deeper analytics that a static number can not provide.
