When making tracking numbers, you have two options to choose from:
These numbers will always appear the same, they will always be the same 10-digit number and will always transfer to the number specified.
Must be added to a website using a code snippet.
Once placed, each webpage viewer will see a different number. This allows the system to track their movement throughout the webpage.
It also allows other reports to generate data to show how they reached the webpage, to begin with.
The decision on whether to use a dynamic number over a static number on a webpage comes down to how much data you want to be available to you.
If you care more about all of the viewers seeing the same number, create a static number.
If you are interested in deeper analytics that can not be provided by a static number, create a dynamic number.
