Contacts are unique identifiers that can allow you to manage the different people calling your company.
To see your contacts, go to Manage -->Contacts:

Contacts are created using the trigger system, this will allow you to dictate exactly when a contact record is stored.
This means that you can create a contact only when the call is classified as a new opportunity or even when a call is classified as a new or existing opportunity.
You can also choose to create a contact record when a form is submitted that our system captures.
Using contacts, you can see the lifetime value of the call as well as how many times they called or submitted a form:
