Tracking numbers are used to send calls to the Patient Prism system.
When a tracking number is called, we forward the call to the specified call plan and once the call is finished the call data begins processing in our system.
There are two different types of tracking numbers, static and dynamic.
Static numbers will always appear as the same 10-digit phone number.
Dynamic numbers have the ability to change based on how the caller found the number online.
They are generated and applied using code, so they can only be added to a website.
Patient Prism attributes marketing data based on what number the caller dialed.
If they dial a number called “PPC Cleaning Special - Location A” we are able to tell where the caller came from because they called the number for this specific ad.
If there is only 1 tracking number under a company called “General Online Ad” and it is used on several different marketing channels, we are going to be unable to tell where specifically the caller came from.
This also means that if we are only tracking via the new patient option on an office’s main number phone tree, we are only going to be able to tell that the patient reached the main number and pressed the new patient option.
