Custom Fields let you capture exactly the data you care about from your call recordings—without waiting for a new built-in feature.
You can now define your own data points and let our AI extract them from calls.
Examples of questions you can answer with Custom Fields:
“What verbal referring source did the patient say on the call?”
“Did the caller schedule their appointment on a Tuesday?”
“Which doctor did the patient schedule with?”
“Did the patient insist on getting a cleaning at their first visit?”
“Was the appointment booked at a different location than the one they called?”
You design the field, instruct the AI on what to look for, and determine when it should run.
Important: Custom Fields only analyze the call and its associated data. They do not pull information from the web or external systems.
Big Picture Explanation
-
You define the field
Give it a name (e.g., “Scheduling Doctor,” “Verbal Referring Source”).
Write clear instructions for the AI.
Choose what type of data should come back (yes/no, date, text, etc.).
-
You tell Patient Prism when to apply it
Using the Trigger system, you decide which calls should have that field populated (e.g., booked calls only, new opportunities only, etc.).
-
You use the data in reporting
Values appear on the Call Search page for each call.
You can filter by your custom fields and include them in the exported data.
The full setup will consist of these five steps:
1. Navigate to Custom Fields settings in your company
2. Create a Custom Field and Name it
3. Write AI Instructions
4. Choose the Data Type
5. Apply Using the Trigger System
