The first step is to integrate Patient Prism and your Practice Management System.
The overview of the process is to:
1. Link the Business Management Service
2. Configure Appointment Types
3. Generate a customizable Booking Link.
Link the Business Management Service
- Go to Manage > Locations and select the Location(s) you would like to set up.
- Click Edit on the top right:
- Find the Business Management Service option:

Select the services that would have been previously integrated (in this example, it is the Denticon integration) and hit Save after selecting:
Doing this has allowed you to finalize the link between the Practice Management System/Business Management Service and the individual location.
Configure Appointment Types
1. Under a linked location, you should now be able to see data under the Appointment Types tab:
2. These Appointment Types can now be edited:
- Title: The name that appears on the online booking portal
- Description: An optional explanation of what the appointment type is or any additional information you want to share.
- Bookable: This toggle lets you indicate if this Appointment Type should be bookable online.
- Cancelable: This will allow the person scheduling the appointment to be able to cancel it themselves or not.
For this example, we are going to have just two appointment types set to bookable and have added Descriptions:3. The key items to adjust are the Bookable option so that only the appointment types you would like to show will appear on the online booking.
You will want to ensure the appointment types you would like them to be able to book are the only ones visible and have an accurate title and description.
**If you leave only one appointment type as bookable, the system will skip directly to this appointment type instead of showing the user just one option to choose from, thereby speeding up the booking process for them.
Generate a Booking Link
- Now that you have linked one or more locations to their Business Management Service, you can generate an Online Booking Link.
- Go to Manage > Companies and then click the company for which you would like to generate a booking link.
- Select the Booking Groups tab on the left and then +Create on the top right:
- This will bring up a new box with two tabs:
General - Here, provide a name for the link and select the location(s) that should be included |in this group. You can also add a Logo and configure a custom booking confirmation message:
Design - This screen will allow you to customize the font, style, and color of the booking pages:
If you select multiple offices in the booking link, this will allow the user to see the offices in their area that they can schedule with. Each location then has a Book Now button that will bring you directly to their individual booking page.
