Video Guide
This setup consists of three major steps:
- Connect your Google Ads account to Patient Prism
- Build the Conversion Action in Google Ads that you would like to push conversions to
- Configure a Patient Prism trigger to push specific calls as conversions to the Custom Actions
Important:
The only calls that can be sent to Google Ads are calls that Google has knowledge of.
This means that the only calls that can successfully be sent as conversions are calls that either come from a Website Pool number or a Google Ad Extention that is a Patient Prism tracking number.
The website pool is the only way we can capture the Google Click ID and report it back to Google Ads.
- Please ensure Auto-Tagging is enabled in Google Ads and add this text below to the Tracking Template:

1. Connecting your Google Ads account to Patient Prism
- Go to the Integration Page in Patient Prism.
- Click the Google Ads option.
- Select your Company.
- Click "Link Account."
- Select Google Ads Account.
- Go into your Google Ads account.
- Select the account associated with the Company that was linked in Step 3.
2. Building the Conversion Action in Google Ads that you would like to push conversions to
- Go into the Google Ads account that you linked in the last steps.
- Go to Goals on the left sidebar.
- Click Summary under Conversions.
- Create a new conversion action.
- Select Import.
- Select Manual import using API or uploads.
- Select Calls.
- Goal and action optimization --> Converted Lead.
- Give the conversion a name.
- Use the same value --> $1.
- Select Count One.
- Set your Conversion window.
- Select Data-driven.
- Skip next step.
- See new conversions lead actions.
- Repeat steps 1-12 but for Clicks instead of Calls if you are also using our website number integration.
3. Configure a Patient Prism trigger to push specific calls as conversions to the Custom Actions
(this part is completely customizable, you will be setting conditions that dictate when we report a conversion to Google Ads)
- In Patient Prism, go to Manage--> Triggers.
- Create and name your trigger.
- Click Call Analysis Updated.
- Set the condition to the type of calls you want to push to Google Ads.
For example - anytime Patient Prism analyzes the call as being a New Opportunity. - If you would like to report all New Opportunity calls:
Classification Equals New Opportunity
** If you are working on multiple locations and want this trigger to be for just 1 location conversation, you will have to add a condition that says Location Equals X (x = the desired location the integration is for)
***You can also condition based on the tracking number to restrict by location since a number can only be assigned to one location - In the Actions section, select Report Conversion To Google Ads.
- Select your connected Google Ads account in the Integrations dropdown.
- For the Web Conversion Action, select the Clicks conversation you made prior (if this was made).
- For the Mobile Conversion Action, select the Calls conversation you made prior.
- Set your Conversion Value to 1 (this will increment each conversion by 1).
- Click Save on the top right of the page.

Call conversion actions are calls that originated from a mobile click-to-call ad or ad extension.
