Enabling Two-factor authentication will increase security for your account/company.
2FA will require you to enter a secret code (in addition to email and password) when signing into your Patient Prism account.
This increases the security of your account because if your password is compromised this additional layer of protection is still needed to gain access to the account.
Before beginning, you will need an app to manage your account's authenticator code.
We recommend using downloading the phone app for Google Authenticator:
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/google-authenticator/id388497605
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/detailsid=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2&hl=en_US&gl=US
To enable your user accounts 2FA:
- Go to your profile:
https://next-web.patientprism.com/profile/me - Press the button to Enable Two-factor authentication and press save:
- Scan the QR code using your smartphone or computer authentication application:
- Once you scan the QR code and add it to your authentication application, it should give you a 6-digit authentication application code (these expire every 30 seconds).
- Enter this code in the yellow box where it says Enter authenticator code and then pres Verify and Enable 2FA.
- Once you do that, the 2FA settings will be saved and the next time you log in the system will ask for the 6-digit authenticator code.
- If you are unable to gain access using the 6-digit code, the long strings of recovery codes under the QR code can work in place of the authenticator code, make sure to save at least 1 of these in a safe and secure place.
