The Trigger System can set a referring source based on the tracking number that was called.
(Dynamic tracking numbers will receive a source automatically via the code snippet integration.)
You can create a trigger where you will select the numbers in the condition.
In the action, you will dictate what referring source should be set for this group of numbers.
For example, say you have five numbers you would like to associate as being referred by Google Ads. You would create a condition that says when these numbers are called, the source should be set as Google Ads.
Please follow the steps below to set this up:
- Go to the Triggers page.
- Create a Trigger and give it a name.
Example: Set Referring Source -- Google Ads - Select Recording Stored.
- In the Conditions, select Call Tracking Number and then select the number(s) that you would like to set the referring source for (could be one number or multiple that will all share the same source)
- In the Action, select Set Referring Source and then use the dropdown to select the source type.
(Google Ads in this example) - Once you have the numbers selected and the source selected, press Save.
The trigger should look like this:
