We will first connect the GA4 account to Patient Prism.
Then we will create a Trigger in Patient Prism to create custom events in GA4.
In Patient Prism - Create Integrations:
- Go to Integrations and select Google Analytics 4.
- Name the integration.
- Enter the Measurement ID in GA4.
To obtain the Measurement ID for a stream in the Property column of GA4 properties, navigate to the Data Streams tab and select the desired stream. From there, you can copy and paste the Measurement ID.
(found in the red box in the image below) - Enter the API secret key you generate in GA4.
To access or create a new secret for the Measurement Protocol API in the Property column of GA4 properties, navigate to Data Streams and choose the Measurement Protocol API Secrets option. From there, you can either copy and paste an existing secret or create a new one.
(found in the blue box in the image below) - Patient Prism now knows what GA4 account to push the data to.
In Patient Prism - Create Trigger:
- Go to the Triggers page.
- Create a new Trigger and name it (Example: Google Analytics (GA4) -- All New Opportunity Calls).
- Select Call Analysis Updated.
- Decide what types of calls you would like to report to GA4 (in this example, we will be reporting all new opportunities to GA4).
- Set your condition as Classification Equals New Opportunity.
- Set your Action as Report Events To Google Analytics.
- Select the Integration that was created.
- Enter an Event Name - this is how the event will appear in GA4.
(do not use any spaces for this) - You can either leave the parameters as they are or Insert more.
Inserting more parameters will send data to the Event for the metadata listed in the parameters. - Select Run Once and click Save.
